By train from Cusco:
Take a colectivo taxi from the station in Calle
Pavitos in Cuzco to Ollantaytambo train station (approx. 1 ½ hours.) From here, the train to Aguas Calientes takes about 2 ½ hours. Depending on which train you catch, you can either stay on the same train to continue to the Hydroelectic station, or change train in Aguas Calientes. The trip from Aguas Calientes to the Hydroelectic station takes about one hour.
On arrival at the Hydroelectric station, take a colectivo taxi to the town of Santa Teresa or directly to the Canopy's basecamp, which is reached via a signposted turnoff just before you enter Santa Teresa. The trip from the station to the Canopy or to Santa Teresa takes about half an hour.
